Musky Fishing Report

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Musky anglers have been heading out to Pewaukee, Okauchee, Oconomowoc, and Monona Lakes in search of that trophy fish. Unfortunately, water temperatures were still in the upper 40s and low 50s. This is keeping the muskies from reaching their peak activity levels. As the water continues to cool, it will get better. Anglers have been doing well with suckers on quick strike rigs. A variety of sizes were being taken to entice a hungry musky. Most anglers were using 12”-15” suckers, with a few trying 18”- 24” suckers for trophy fish. Anglers casting BIG bucktails have also been successful. Jerkbaits, glidebaits, and Bulldawgs are other good choices to try for big fall muskies.
