Musky Fishing Wisconsin - Lake Namakagon

This lake is located in Bayfield county and measures out at 3,227 acres.

There is both good and bad news for this Wisconsin Musky lake. The bad news is that there are low numbers of fish less than 36 inches in the 2002 survey. The good news howver is that there are plenty of fish on the 43 to 48 inch range, and some in the 50 inch size bracket.

In 1997, the DNR began stocking the lake every other year at a rate of .08 fish per acre. In 1992, the legal size limit was 40 inches, and in 1997 it was raised to 50 inches.
